The Minister of Commerce and Tourism of the Republic of Somaliland, Advocate Abdirahman Hassan Nour, held an important meeting in Addis Ababa with some of Ethiopia’s top business leaders.

The Minister met with the owners of the following companies:

• Mr. Pandian – Owner of Avon Industries PLC
• Mr. Rajeev – Owner of Anmol Paper Products Ethiopia PLC
• Mr. Naval Agarwal – Owner of Maruti PLC

The discussions focused on investment and business opportunities in Somaliland. The business leaders expressed strong interest in expanding their operations into Somaliland and utilizing the modern Berbera Port, which is a key strategic gateway increasingly sought after in global trade.

Mr. Pandian, Mr. Rajeev, and Mr. Naval Agarwal informed the Minister that their companies are planning major investments in Somaliland, highlighting that Berbera Port offers a highly efficient link to international markets.

In response, Minister Advocate Abdirahman Hassan Nour thanked the investors for their interest in Somaliland and reaffirmed that the government is ready to facilitate all necessary requirements and is committed to encouraging trade and investment growth in the country.
