Tunisians Rally at US Embassy, Urging an End to Israeli Offensive on Gaza
Scores of Tunisians gathered outside the US Embassy demanding an immediate cessation of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip. The protest aimed to exert additional pressure to bring an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Protesters were seen in Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia on Sunday waving the Palestinian flag, chanting their support for Gaza and calling for an end to Israeli hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators were also advocating for the expulsion of American ambassador, Joey Hood, from the country. This call is rooted in the perceived role of Washington in the conflict, whether through political or military support for the Israeli occupation.
Speaking in an interview, one of the demonstrators who called for an end to the aggression on the conditions of the Palestinian resistance, criticized any stance of neutrality regarding the Palestinian issue and emphasized the need for active support.
He also commended the Yemeni position in solidarity with Gaza and expressed appreciation for the operations of the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea.
This protest follows last month’s massive demonstrations in Tunisia, also held in front of the American embassy, denouncing Israeli aggression and the siege of Gaza.
The recurring mobilization serves as a passionate call for international attention and decisive action against the ongoing conflict in the region.
