The Prime minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre engaged in talks with the Chinese ambassador to Somalia to prioritize development projects, enhancing their diplomatic relations and cooperation in other important sectors.
In a meeting between the Prime minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre and Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Fei Shengchao have discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in diplomacy, security, economic development, and humanitarian issues.
The Prime Minister of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre said the two countries will strengthen cooperation in various fields and thanked the Chinese government for standing with the people of Somalia through the various challenges the country has faced over the years.
Also, the Chinese Ambassador reiterated China’s commitment to support Somalia’s reconstruction and socioeconomic development and also to collaborate in other sectors such as agriculture, fishery, and health.
He also noted that Somalia is a strategic friend of China, and is committed to continuing to support Somalia’s government and cooperation with them.
