Saudi poised to tap Infrastructure and Trade Opportunities with Djibouti

 

In a significant diplomatic endeavor, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, led a high-profile Saudi delegation during the fifth session of the Saudi-Djiboutian Joint Committee. The visit aimed at fostering robust ties between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Djibouti, with a particular focus on advancing cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors

Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser engaged in crucial discussions with Hassan Humad Ibrahim, the Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment of the Republic of Djibouti. The talks centered around bolstering relations and exploring avenues for mutual growth in transport and logistics services.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key figures, including the Saudi Ambassador to Djibouti, Faisal bin Sultan Al-Qabbani, and various officials from both nations.
The collective dialogue aimed to enhance understanding and cooperation, particularly focusing on strategic developments in the transport and logistics sectors.

Accompanied by representatives from Saudi Arabia’s transport and logistics services sector, Minister Saleh Al-Jasser expanded diplomatic conversations to include discussions with H.E the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Djibouti, Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf. The discussions delved into strategic ways to intensify bilateral relations, emphasizing collaboration in transportation and logistics services.

Dr. Mansour Al-Turki, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services for Planning and Sector Development, and Head of the Saudi delegation at the joint Saudi-Djiboutian Committee, commended the substantial advancements made during the committee’s fourth session in Riyadh.

Al-Turki emphasized the strong bond between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti, highlighting the committee’s focus on implementing recommendations and initiatives across various sectors.

He praised the collaborative efforts of the two countries’ embassies in overcoming obstacles, underscoring the need for continued dedication to ensure progress aligns with the aspirations of both nations’ leaderships for the upcoming fifth meeting.
