President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey holds talks with the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives.
The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh has visited the Turkish capital, Ankara and engaged in high-level discussions with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The meetings, held at the Presidential Complex on Wednesday, were part of efforts to strengthen ties between Turkey and Libya.
Details about the specific discussions held between President Erdogan and Speaker Saleh, as well as Saleh’s meeting with Foreign Minister Fidan, were not disclosed during the Libyan official’s visit.
Turkish Parliament Speaker, Numan Kurtulmus, also held a face-to-face meeting with Speaker Saleh, further emphasizing the importance of the diplomatic exchange.
Kurtulmus highlighted Turkey’s prioritization of political stability in Libya, aimed at expediting the country’s prosperity and economic development.
He expressed Turkey’s desire to witness unity, solidarity, and brotherhood in Libya and underscored its commitment to stand by the Libyan people to achieve political stability.
In response to Turkey’s support for Palestine, Speaker Saleh conveyed his pleasure at being in Ankara and expressed his wishes for the visit to contribute to the enhanced cooperation between the two nations.
He appreciated President Erdogan’s attitudes and stance on various matters, emphasizing the potential for further development in their bilateral relations.
