President Hassan Meets with former Speakers of Somalia

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received the former Speakers of the Parliament of Somalia including Mohamed Osman Jawari and other officials from the Southwest State of Somalia.

The officials came to encourage the ongoing counterterrorism efforts against Alshabab and briefed them on the political situation of the Southwest State to the President, and their opinions on the liberation of the country from Alshabab.

The President also shared with the officials the victories of the army and the progress made to eradicate the Alshabab and his administration’s commitment to continue the operations until the final goal is achieved.

President Hassan Sheikh has been engaged in talks with the former and current leaders to seek their help towards his national security agenda of liberating the remaining areas from Alshabab.
