Djibouti, Qatar bolster ties on legal cooperation

In a diplomatic meeting, the Minister of Justice and Penal Affairs in charge of Human Rights of the Republic of Djibouti, Ali Hassan Bahdon, who is currently on an official visit to Qatar, held discussions with his counterpart the Minister of Justice for the State of Qatar, HE Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri, on legal cooperation.

The ministers delved into strengthening the existing legal cooperation relations between the two nations, exploring avenues for further development.

Talks focused on the exchange of legal expertise, with an emphasis on establishing a practical framework through agreements and memoranda of understanding to activate various areas of legal collaboration.

Following the formal discussions, the Minister of Justice of Djibouti, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Ministry of Justice’s legal and service sectors.

This visit provided insights into Qatar’s extensive experience in legal training and qualification, showcasing programs offered by the Legal and Judicial Studies Center for various legal categories in both governmental and non-governmental agencies.

The delegation was particularly interested in Qatar’s expertise in real estate registration, documentation, and the array of legal services provided to the public by the Ministry of Justice.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Djibouti commended Qatar’s legal proficiency, expressing optimism about leveraging this experience for mutual benefit within the framework of cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

The meeting signifies a commitment to fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge in the legal domain, further solidifying the ties between Qatar and Djibouti.
