Hargeisa, 7th October 2025 – A key meeting focused on accelerating the use of the Port of Berbera and the Berbera Trade Corridor was held at the Ambassador Hotel in Hargeisa.

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism and the British Office Hargeisa. It forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance trade connectivity and maximize the benefits of the Berbera Port.

The meeting was officially opened by the Minister of Trade and Tourism, Mr. Abdirahman Hassan Nour, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Abdillahi Hassan Aadan, and Mr. Chris Pycroft, FCDO Development Director. All the officials emphasized the importance of collaboration and the implementation of plans aimed at boosting the utilization of the Berbera Port and Corridor.
