🕊️ AGREEMENT REACHED BETWEEN SOMALILAND AND PUNTLAND

Officials from Somaliland and Puntland, including ministers, security officers, and senior representatives, held a meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, on October 4–5, 2025, to discuss key security, economic, and political issues affecting the Horn of Africa region.

🔹 Major outcomes of the meeting:

1️⃣ Security Cooperation: Both parties agreed to jointly combat Al-Shabaab, ISIS, and organized crime, and to cooperate on maritime and border security.

2️⃣ Peace in Ceerigaabo: The sides reached an understanding to peacefully resolve the conflict in the Ceerigaabo area and facilitate the return of displaced persons to their homes.

3️⃣ Boosting Trade: They agreed to strengthen trade and movement of people between the two regions and to establish joint economic infrastructure that connects both sides.

4️⃣ Airspace Concerns: The meeting condemned the politicization and violation of civilian airspace.

Both sides stated their commitment to continue consultative dialogues and welcomed all actors who support peace and development in the region. 🌍✨
