“Corruption, even the slightest hint of it, irreversibly compromises the authority and effectiveness of our courts,” stated President Ruto, highlighting the pivotal role of integrity in upholding the credibility of the judiciary and other public institutions. He urged the judges to commit themselves to serving with professionalism and to steadfastly reject all forms of corruption.
President Ruto underscored the significance of abiding by the principles outlined in Articles 10 and 159 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, as well as the solemn oath taken by the newly appointed judges.
