Tunisia Strengthens Ties with Saudi on Court of Account, Others.

Tunisia and Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in accounting, supervisory, and professional work. The memorandum builds upon agreements previously signed by the Saudi GCA with similar agencies in other countries.

The agreement signing was initiated by Dr. Hossam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, President of the Saudi General Court of Audit (GCA), and Hatem Al-Selini, First Deputy President of the Court of Accounts in Tunisia.

According to Al-Anqari, the GCA plays a significant role in knowledge exchange with bodies affiliated with regional and international financial oversight organizations.

Al-Anqari noted that the memorandum aims to amplify cooperation between the two entities across financial auditing, regulatory compliance, and performance scrutiny domains. This cooperation, according to him, will be realized through a variety of research endeavors, consultative projects, interactive forums, and tailored training initiatives on subjects of mutual interest.

He added that this partnership will operate within international bodies such as the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), with the GCA holding the leadership position, while the Tunisian Court of Accounts assumes the role of secretary-general.

Among other dignitaries present at the signing ceremony was Saudi’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr.
