Somalia Senate Speaker Says No Deal has been reached on Electoral Process for Somaliland

The Somalia Senate Speaker has denied that any deal has been reached on the electoral process for the Somaliland MPs. though Somaliland loudly said there are not part of Somalia’s elections and no one can represent on behalf of them.

Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, the Somalia Senate speaker has denied that any deal has been reached on the electoral process for Somaliland Members of Parliament. He accused Farmajo and his government of Spreading fake rumors to the public.

According to the statement, the senate speaker also said there are no two factions of Somaliland but the problem is that Farmo seeking any excuses to back to power. He also said that there were no representatives of Somaliland people to the consultative meetings over the elections.

On different occasions, Somaliland government previously affirmed that the upcoming elections of Somalia has nothing to do with Somaliland and no one will represent them in their elections.

For the past year, There have been political disagreements between the federal government and other political stakeholders over the electoral process in the country. The Gedo region, The Federal electoral committee and the Mps of Somaliland are one of the main issues on this electoral impasse.
