Somalia, South Africa Forge Bilateral Cooperation Agreement at United Nations General Assembly
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abshir Omar Jama (Huruse), and the Minister of International Relations of South Africa, Naledi Pandor, formalized a bilateral cooperation agreement. The agreement was solemnly executed on the sidelines of the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
Minister Abshir Jama Huruse underscored the importance of this momentous event, highlighting the signing of the General Cooperation Agreement as a pivotal step towards fostering enhanced collaboration between Somalia and South Africa.
He said It is anticipated that this cooperative endeavor will further strengthen the pre-existing ties between the two nations.
The Minister has been actively engaging in sideline discussions with fellow delegates attending the 78th United Nations General Assembly. These discussions aim to fortify Somalia’s diplomatic relationships with other esteemed members of the United Nations.
