The House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland held its 24th session of the 12th parliamentary term, chaired by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Yasin Haji Mohamoud Hiir (Faratoon).
During this session, the House approved the Amendments and Additions to the Police Law (Law No. 63/2019), following debates and discussions that had taken place in earlier sessions of this term.
Additionally, the Speaker of the House announced that, starting today, the House has entered its regular recess, which will last for eight weeks. Accordingly, the House of Representatives will reconvene on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, to begin the 13th term and continue their constitutional duties.
Laws Passed by the House of Representatives During the 12th Parliamentary Term:
1. Approval of Amendments to the General Revenue and Taxation Law.
2. Approval of Amendments and Additions to the Government System Law.
3. Approval of the Immigration and Border Protection Forces Law.
4. Approval of Amendments to the Public Financial Management Law.
5. Approval of the Mortgage and Immovable Property Law.
6. Approval of Amendments and Additions to the Police Law.
Officials Approved by the House During the 12th Parliamentary Term:
During this term, the House of Representatives approved 25 officials from various national institutions.

Throughout the term, the House received 9 reports prepared by different national institutions and subcommittees of the House of Representatives.
