The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), on the second day of his working visit to Awdal Region, held an important meeting this evening with traditional leaders, elders, and intellectuals of the region. Among the attendees was the Supreme Ugaas of the Gadabuursi clan, Ugaas Abdirashid Ugaas Rooble Ugaas Doodi.
The meeting focused deeply on key issues concerning national unity, the strengthening of peace, and collaborative efforts toward community development. There was clear consensus on the historic role the people of Awdal have played in nation-building and safeguarding the statehood of Somaliland.
The President praised the unwavering contribution of Awdal’s traditional leaders and elders in supporting peace and national unity. In return, the elders expressed their full support and commitment to the nation.
The meeting was a reflection of the respected role that traditional leadership continues to play in strengthening public trust, governance, and the unity of the people of Somaliland.
