The Minister of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Hussein Bashiir Hirsi, officially opened the National Review Conference for Public Hospitals across the country. The conference focuses on assessing the overall condition, progress, and quality improvement of healthcare services provided by public hospitals in all regions.
The main objective of the conference is to evaluate the current level of health services, identify existing challenges, and explore ways to further strengthen public health service delivery, with a focus on improving hospital administration and transparency.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama, the Director and Deputy Director of the Department of Hospital Development, regional public hospital directors, as well as experts and advisors from the Ministry.
Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Jama emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of public hospitals, noting that the Ministry is fully committed to supporting hospital directors in delivering high-quality healthcare and implementing improvement plans.
Minister Dr. Hussein Bashiir Hirsi, in his opening speech, underlined the significance of continuous evaluation of health services. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the quality of public health services to ensure efficient, modern, and accessible healthcare for all citizens across the country.
The Minister also urged hospital directors to prioritize outpatient care, the fight against critical diseases, and maintaining transparency and efficiency in healthcare institutions.
