A South west state of Somalia army was targeted with an improvised explosive device. Initial reports say, at least three soldiers of South West state were killed and unspecified number of wounded people.
The wounded people were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Alshabab has officially claimed the responsibility for the attack. Witnesses said they could hear a gunfire opened by the security forces immediately after the explosion.
The security forces launched a military operation in some parts of the region to apprehend the suspects. Al-Shabaab has been carrying out direct attacks and bombings in most parts of the southwest targeting troops and officials of the regional administration and the federal government, often resulting in casualties.
The South west state of Somalia has not yet officially commented on this attack or their plans on this matter.
