The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Muuse Biixi Abdi who arrived earlier at the polling unit cast his vote at the civil service commission signaling commitment to the country’s electioneering process.
The president together with chairman of the ruling party Kulmiye arrived at the voting station as the first citizen and filled the requirements of the registration, taking the ballot papers and casting the ballot papers in the two boxes for house representatives and the local council
The president who described the election as peaceful told people to vote like the way they campaigned without any form of rancor, saying that Somaliland must set precedence to the world.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the national opposition Waddani party Dr Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdilaahi (Cirro) and his wife Farduus Maxamed Rooble have voted in the office of government civil service in Hargesia advising somalilanders to vote with calm
Also, The Chairman of UID political party, Eng. Faysal Cali Waraabe has cast his vote at the center of the house of workers which he had already registered.
The chairman spoke to the media at the same place where he cast his vote and gave a word of advice to the voters, urged them to strengthen the peace and security while exercising their franchise.
