Somaliland foreign Minister Yasin Faraton has announced his candidacy for the House of Representatives. The minister will be contested in the Sool region and is expected to run for the speakership of the house.
Yasin Faraton, Somaliland minister of foreign Affairs has officially announced his candidacy for the House of Representatives. The minister who hails from the eastern regions of Somaliland will be contested in the Sool region and also is expected to run for the speakership for the House of Representatives.
The Historical perspective, the speakership of the house held by the Politicians who hails from the Eastern regions of the country. The Third Deputy Chairman of Wadani party, Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed had previously launched his ambition for the top seat at the House of Representatives.
The two officials hail from the same constituency and will engage hard in a fight for the top seat at the House of Representatives. The seat is held by Bashe Mohamed Farah who also hails from Sool province.
Yasin Faraton had previously served as the Minister of education before he was appointed for the ministry of foreign affairs. He was also a key figure on Somaliland’s delegation talks with Somalia, last year.
