Qatar, Somalia discuss means to boost bilateral ties

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has received a verbal message from the President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, pertaining to the bilateral relations and aspects of developing them.

The message was conveyed by Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Khayre, when the Amir met him at the Amiri Diwan office on Sunday morning. During the meeting, the Amir and the Somali prime minister reviewed bilateral relations and ways to promote them.

The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.

The Prime Minister and the Amir discussed the progress made by the Somali government over the past three years and how the success of the reforms will bring the attention of international investors to Somalia as a country of opportunity. good as a result of general change.

Sheikh Tamim and Khayre reviewed cooperation between the two countries and ways of promoting them.

Earlier this month, Qatar organized an airlift for the relief of flood victims in Somalia as water submerged villages and towns and made thousands of families homeless.
